Tristar Reads Summer Scholarship ContestTristar Reads Summer Scholarship Contest -Tristar Reads is an annual scholarship contest designed to encourage students across Tennessee to read throughout the summer recess. Tristar Reads will run from At the end of the summer four $1,000 scholarship awards will be awarded to the students who read, log, and submit the most hours: one overall winner, one elementary school student (K-4), one middle school student (5-8), and one high school student (9-12). GET YOUR READING LOG HERE Additionally, educators, librarians, caregivers, or other community leaders can become Tristar Team Leaders and recruit students to participate in the program. -Tristar Reads is an annual scholarship contest designed to encourage students across Tennessee to read throughout the summer recess. Tristar Reads will run from
May 30th-August 7th, 2023, this year and is open to all students entering Kindergarten-12th grade. To participate in Tristar Reads, students and their parent or caregiver will register at www.tristarreads.com,and log their reading hours throughout the summer.

Kids Bowl Free This SummerFor parents that are looking to find things for their children to do, check out Kids Bowl Free. The program allows kids to bowl two games per day all summer long for free! You can redeem free coupons with the Kids Bowl Free app (Apple / Android).There are five locations in Memphis where the Kids Bowl Free program is accepted:

Free to City of Memphis residents
Summer camp will be available at all City of Memphis Community Centers for ages 5 – 12, except for Gaisman and Greenlaw.
Teen summer camp will be available for ages 13 – 15 at the following community centers: Bert Ferguson, Charles Powell, Cunningham, Davis, Ed Rice, Hickory Hill, Lester, &Whitehaven
