Starting This Week: Checkout Limits Are Increasing. At the start of November, the checkout limits in Sora increased for all students!
Checkout Limit per User: 5 titles (updated from 3 titles per user)
Hold Limit per User: 5 titles (updated from 3 titles per user)
Lending Period: The default lending period will remain at 14 days, with an option for users to select 7 days, 14 days, or 21 days for ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines in their user account settings. View a PDF Step-by-Step Process Here. (Note on Lending Periods: It is not possible to select different loan periods by collection type, i.e. K-5 collection; 6-8 collection; 9-12 collection.)
REFERENDUM NOVEMBER 8, 2022
The Board of Education approved the final version of the 2022-2023 budget and tax levy. The property tax levy amount that was approved is $38,555,555 and the tax rate is $9.68/1,000 of equalized value. The tax rate can be compared to $10.89/1,000 of equalized value in 2021-22.

Warrior Corner School Store Sale
The Warrior Corner, high school store, is having an "Out With the Old" sale on Saturday, November 19 from 1-4 p.m. and again on Saturday, December 3 from 1-4 p.m. There will be some new items with the new logo as well! ===COUNSELING DEPARTMENT CONNECTION===
Welcome Mrs. Katie Varney
Ms. Varney works in the Counseling Office and coordinates all of the standardized testing (PSAT, ACT, PreACT (formerly Aspire), Forward Exam, and AP Exams) for Waunakee Community High School. Once she settles in, she will be taking over the online course coordination, and you may see her substitute teaching in some classes! Although she is new to this position, she is not new to Waunakee as she is a graduate of Waunakee Community High School! We are lucky to have Katie in the Counseling Department!
All standardized test dates have been added to the Waunakee Community High School calendar. Please reach out to Ms. Varney with any questions.

Native American Heritage Month
For the month of November, you will see the Ho-Chunk flag flying at each school.
The Board of Education (BOE) approved recognition per a resolution adopted a few years ago to commemorate Native American Heritage Month. The resolution by the Board of Education can be found on our district website.
