A Message from Mrs. Rhodes

Monday was a big day at Puckett's Mill as we followed GCPS guidelines and made the move from requiring masks to strongly recommending masks. Teachers and staff are sending the message and modeling for students that it is okay to wear a mask to school, but it is also okay not to wear a mask to school. This change fell alongside the decision to have all students return to the cafeteria to eat lunch every day. We are hopeful that we will remain in a state of "low" transmission and will soon be able to welcome lunch visitors and school-wide volunteers back into the building.

Spring Pictures

Spring Pictures are here!

Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grades will have their pictures made on Wednesday, March 9. 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades will have their pictures made on Thursday, March 10.

In addition to individual pictures, class pictures will be made.

Order forms will be sent home on Friday, March 4. You can order online or return a completed order form with your payment on the day your student will have their picture made.

School Chromebooks for Digital Learning

Students whose parents have completed the Chromebook request form will have a Chromebook sent home with them beginning Friday, January 7th, and every day following. This will become our general practice in order to ensure that all students have the materials they need at home regardless of digital or in-person instruction. On any device at home, students can access their teacher's eCLASS course page as well as programs such as Classworks, iReady, and Amplify to practice grade level concepts and skills. The students use these programs at school and will know how to access them from home via their device.


Transportation Changes If at any time you need to change your student's afternoon transportation, all requests must be submitted in writing using the Transportation Change Request form found on the main page of the school's website BEFORE 10:00 a.m. Faxes and emails will not be accepted. Please communicate changes, even last-minute changes, to the registrar and not the classroom teacher. The completed form should be sent to school with your student and turned in to their teacher when they arrive at school. Thank you for your help to ensure the safety of our students.	Free/Reduced Lunch Form A new free/reduced form must be filed each school year. If you were on this program last year and plan to continue this year or if your situation has changed due to recent events, you will need to fill out an application. The online application is now available. You will only need to fill out one application for all your children - even if they attend different schools in the GCPS system. You can access the application here. You can click here to check the status of your application.	Birthday Treats Parents are welcome to send in with their student or DROP off STORE BOUGHT, individually, pre- wrapped treats for birthdays celebrations.
