Family Newsletter

Hello everyone-

I hope you all were able to enjoy the extra long weekend with your families! I just love this time of year (my waistline not so much)! I love all the baking, visiting with friends and family, and oh yes the decorating! I love going to see all the lights around town and drinking cocoa in front of the fireplace:). Also- SHOPPING! I am pretty sure I could be a professional shopper when I retire. I love finding the perfect gift for everyone in my life.

We have a full week ahead and it always seems that the end of second quarter just flies by! Families should all have received a mid-quarter update from your teacher to provide you information regarding your child's progress. This is a new building expectation that came from the parent communication survey from the beginning of the year, and it is also an action step in our school plan. Hopefully, you have found the newsletters and updates to be beneficial for your family. We will be sending another parent communication survey at the end of 3rd quarter to see if these additions met the needs we had, or if additional steps or different communication will help us for next year. I know the surveys can be annoying, and we do truly use the information gathered to make changes for improvement. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful feedback.

Please reach out at any time to share any questions, concerns, or ideas. I am here to help and support you and your family. Thanks for all you do to help keep our students and staff safe.

Take Care-

3rd- 5th grade parent letters coming home this week

As you know, we are working to increase parent communication around academic data and social emotional data based on parent feedback int he communication survey. As I shared at our last PTO meeting, we will be sending out parent letters in the backpacks this week. The letter will provide information regarding a self-assessment, mySAEBRS, that students completed this quarter on their social/emotional/academic well being. You will receive your child's report for how they scored themselves. Please click here to view the parent letter. Please reach out to either myself, or Mrs. Cohen (counselor) with any questions you may have.

We hope you find the information beneficial to supporting your child and having conversations with them about how they are feeling.
