Muscular Dystrophy
Inheritance: Sex linked Recessive on the X Chromosome
Definition and Causes of Disorder
- A French Neurologist named Guillaume Duchenne and called the disorder (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy)
- Muscular Dystrophy occurs when one of these genes is defective. Many of these mutations are inherited, But some occur spontaneously in the mother's egg or the developing embryo and can be passed on to the next generation.
- Kids with MD have to use crutches, walkers, and leg braces to let them walk, or they have to use a wheelchair cause there legs get weak when they have Muscular Dystrophy.
MD (Muscular Dystrophy)
The child has a hard time learning how to walk and stand up.
Passing on thru genes
In this picture it can be passed on by there grandparents or someone thru there passed family had it and passed it on to there grandchild
Karyotype
If the mother gives out -x and the father gives out x, the child can have Muscular Dystrophy during its child or adult hood.
