Monroe Memo January
A Message From Mr. Bertsche
Happy New Year! I hope all of you had a great Winter Break and fantastic start to 2024. We look forward to getting back to academics. There was a lot of progress made the first half of the school year and we hope to keep that momentum going. In doing so, we need your help. Below are a few things parents and guardians can do to support the academic work being done here at school:
Read, read, read with your child every night. The more practice they get, the better readers they will become.
Get your child to bed at a reasonable time so they are well rested for school.
Engage your child in after school activities. This is a motivator for most kids and a great way to make friends.
Be present and give your child time after school. All kids love any extra attention they can get from a parent or guardian. It is a strong motivator in their academic performance.
Stay positive with your child and try to emphasize a “can do” attitude. Kids will try harder to reach that expectation if promoted that way.
Hold your child accountable for unwanted behavior and actions. Consistency and consequences you can actually enforce are key to getting a favorable result.
We want all the children at Monroe to have success. Please do all you can to support this work and help where possible. It makes a huge difference in how kids perform each day at school.
Wishing you all the best in 2024!
Monroe Elementary Interim Principal
Updated Contact Information Is Important!
Most school news and information is sent to parents/guardians via text, voicemail and/or email, so it is very important to notify the school office of any changes, including your address. It is especially important to have your contact information updated in the event of a medical/health emergency with your child. Please call 920-663-9550 with any changes you may have throughout the year.
