Jack Anderson Elementary
August 6-10
Welcome to a New School Year!
I'll be sending you information each week in a newsletter just like this one. You will also find great tips and reminders on the Jack Anderson PTO Facebook Page. Most importantly, if you haven't downloaded the JAE App, please do that immediately!! It is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to find every piece of information in one location.
Car Rider Dismissal Change
Vehicles in the right lane will turn right toward Cages Bend Road. Vehicles in the left lane will turn left toward Gallatin Road. Please be patient as we safely transition to this new process.

Lunch Visits Will Begin During the Week of August 13th
Our JAGS Treehouse program is purchasing some new tables that our lunch visitors will be able to use. Hopefully the new tables will be delivered sometime this week. Thank you JAGS Treehouse!!!!
Important Reminders:
Please do not bring outside restaurant items for lunch with your child. Federal Guidelines restrict competitive foods, so we ask that only those items that are in compliance with the Child Nutrition Program be brought for lunch with your child.
Please visit only once per week.
Students may not ask friends to eat with lunch visitors.
Please do not take pictures of students in the cafeteria for confidentiality purposes. Other students may be in the background of the photo, so we ask that you refrain from taking photos while in the cafeteria.
If your child receives meal benefits, don't forget that you must reapply each year! Please email jennifer.osborne@sumnerschools.org with questions.
Meet Your Principal
I have actually been in education for twenty-one years. I have taught just about everything between first grade and eighth grade. Over the years I have learned that kids are kids no matter how old they are or where I find them. They have a need to feel loved, and they have a desire to learn. It is my job to make sure the perfect environment exists so both of those things happen, every day.
My husband, Clay, and I have three children. Caid will be a Junior at HHS, Kylie will be a Freshman at HHS, and Whitten is about to begin his final year of preschool. Between baseball and basketball, our kids keep us very busy. We love spending time together outside, especially on the water.
I look forward to partnering with you this year, and I am thankful for the opportunity to take care of your children.
