The AGAPE Times

a weekly newsletter for students and families - Vol I

A Message from our Administrator, Mrs. Weir

Welcome to the new AGAPE Times newsletter. Our goal is to upload this newsletter weekly for students and families in order to share information and updates. This 1st edition has been published during a memorable time in history, the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic. Schools have been closed by MN Gov. Tim Walz until May 4th, 2020 and Distance Learning has begun! Though we are apart for a little while, we are still the same strong, caring AGAPE family; always there for each other! Please check out the links in this newsletter and reach out if you are in need - we care about you all! Please call me at 651-335-9145 or email me at anytime. Stay healthy and safe!

Nurses Corner

Hello Students!

We hope you are doing well and social distancing safely. Please stay virtually connected with your classmates and school staff for support during this challenging time. Gordon Parks is the only high school HealthStart site that is operating for now. Click below for a flyer containing some information about Health Start Clinic in case anyone has needs for preventative care, including:

  • immunizations (babies are only being seen at La Clinica for now, not at Gordon)
  • mental health/emotional struggles
  • birth control

No flu or COVID-19 testing. You must feel healthy to use the HS Clinic at this time.

Below is a video that Nurse Amy found for dealing with fear and anxiety related to Covid 19.

Please feel free to reach out to her our Nurse Michelle with any questions you may have!

Front Desk News

Hey everybody - we need your help! We are going to have an online Spring AGAPE Family Meeting where we will talk about and get feedback for the 2020/2021 school year documents! All of these documents are included in the 2019/2020 AGAPE Family Handbook, but we have included links below to the documents on the AGAPE website!

More details to come in future AGAPE Times newsletters, but we are looking to have the meeting in early May!
