CHA Menu for Week of January 17, 2022
- If your child has special dietary needs, please complete the attached document and return to Margaret Simpson.
- Curbside Meals are available for CHA virtual students and include breakfast and lunch meals. Please click here to reserve meals for your scholar(s).
- In an effort to keep our scholars safe, please remind your scholar(s) to refrain from sharing food. Many of our scholars have food allergies and an act of kindness could lead to a serious allergic reaction.
Supply Chain Issues
As we continue with the 2021-2022 school year, we are facing unprecedented issues with the supply chain that have caused us to alter our posted menus with little to no notice.
We are working very closely with our distributors and manufacturers to secure both the food and supply items needed to support our program, however the availability of these items has been changing on a daily basis.
While it is our intention to serve the posted menu every day at every school, supply issues will not make this possible throughout this school year until the supply chain issues are rectified.
When changes to the posted school menu become necessary, we will attempt to substitute the scheduled menu item with another that is as similar as possible, to the extent we are able to do so, based on the products we are able to receive.
Chapel Hill Academy is committed to providing our students with the highest quality food possible, and we are working with manufacturers and distributors every day on this very serious supply chain concern.
Social and Emotional Lessons have started at CHA!
I'm excited to announce that Chapel Hill Academy began providing Social and Emotional Lessons for grade K-8 on Monday, January 10, 2022. Please take a moment to select the grade appropriate parent letter and additional activities to extend the learning at home.

Parent Please Read-Important information for walkers
Effective immediately:
Those scholars who are considered walkers must leave the front area of the school property no later than 3:40 PM.
That means they cannot stay at the walker gate, under the tree, and/or around the electric transformer.
Any scholar, considered to be a walker, who has not left the front of the school by 3:40 PM will be brought to the community room in the school building and parents/guardians will have to come through the carpool line to pick them up.
Parents must have their scholar’s yellow card visibly displayed on their dashboard for scholar pickup. If the driver does not have a yellow card, they will be asked to pull over to park and show proper identification for scholar pickup.
The intentions of being a walker is that those walking scholars will leave the school premises immediately after dismissal by walking home, not waiting for parent/guardian arrival at the front of the school.
This has become a significant safety issue and must be dealt with immediately.
Sincerely,
Jon McCracken
