HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 3 Week 7 September 6 2019
FROM MARK
Dear Parents and Guardians
As a lens through which to look at one’s own issues, as well as those beyond our control, it asks for a very different response from all concerned, to make this place a better one.
Kathy and her class conducted a beautiful assembly today and we thank you so much – congratulations! Many thanks to the parents organising tonight’s disco. Children look forward to this event. Your help makes it the success that it is.
The Year Four children and their teachers had quite a time of it today, enjoying the input at their Eucharist Retreat. This is a big time in their lives as they continue on their faith journey. Please keep them all in your prayers.
Have a great weekend.

Principal

HOLY ROSARY COMMUNITY NEWS
P&F Executive Committee Positions 2020
The role of the P&F is central to the existence of Holy Rosary: to support the school in its work, to build community and to empower parents in their role.
Like all committees, renewal is important for fresh energy and new ideas. Some of our members will be completing their tenure at the end of 2019. Executive Members serve for one year and are eligible for re-election for a further year. The President position is for no longer than two consecutive years.
P&F President
We thank Mark Nolan for his enormous contribution to the P&F over the past three years. Mark has brought such a calm and considered approach to P&F President; nothing is in the ‘too hard’ basket. With Mark, it’s all about creating opportunities for the kids. We thank him for all he has done to build community within our school.
2017 Committee Member and Board Representative
2018 President and Board Representative
2019 President
Mark: Why did you join the P&F and what have you got out of it?
I joined the P&F because I wanted to do my bit in giving kids at Holy Rosary the best possible school experience. I wanted to help create an environment where everyone felt welcome to contribute through whatever means possible. In return I got to contribute to the school strategy for the future, work with the Board and School leadership team and develop friendships to last a lifetime.
Role of P&F President
- Provide leadership and representation for the P&F Association
- Work collaboratively with the School Leadership Team
- Chair meetings for the P&F Executive Meetings
- Regular communication with the P&F Executive to ensure school and P&F matters, activities and events are collaboratively coordinated.
- Plan and act in accordance with the P&F Four Pillars and the School Vision, Mission and Values.
Please consider nominating for this important leadership role in our school. No previous P&F experience required!
P & F Treasurer
We thank Kristie Denham for her important contribution to the P&F over the past three years. Kristie has generously shared her financial skills, managing P&F money and the budget in way everyone can understand.
Kristie: Why did you join the P&F and what have you got out of it?
The P&F was in need of a Treasurer and I saw it as an opportunity to help the school, with my background as an Accountant. It has been rewarding to see money raised, and then have a say in how it is spent on resources for the children.
2017 Non-Executive member
2018 Treasurer
2019 Treasurer
Role of P&F Treasurer
- Management of the P&F Bank Account. Organise the signatories for the bank account (the Treasurer along with the P&F Exec Committee are the signatories for the P&F bank account).
- Reconcile bank account and keep a cash book.
- Produce a monthly cost report for the P&F meeting.
- Complete the ACNC Annual return
- Attend P&F meetings and provide an annual report at the AGM.
Please consider nominating for this important role in our school. No previous P&F experience required!

🍔🥪🥗 Athletics Carnival Lunches🍔🥪🥗
Hi everyone, well the big day is almost upon us again and its time to think of what to prepare for lunch!
I have decided to have a limited Special Events Menu on that day, and to help with catering I am asking for ALL orders to be in by THURSDAY 9am! Sushi has also been included so I have been asked by Sasuke to tell them the quantities by 10am Thursday morning.
Spectators are, again, invited to forget about bringing lunch and let us do the work. For this to run smoothly, if using quickcliq – please use the Add Student function for each spectator so as a label is produced for each lunch ordered, please put in the comment section the faction each order is for.
On the day, pre-ordered recess will be available to be picked up at the canteen. Lunches, if the faction is stated on order, will be delivered to the corresponding marquees. Drinks and Ice-creams etc will not be able to be pre ordered but are available to be purchased at any time at the canteen.
Any questions, please call me on 0414 953 958. Hope everyone has a marvellous day!
Leanna.
P.S. if anyone has time to relieve any of my wonderful volunteers, feel free to pop in!
