ELA
Standard:
- I can use nonfiction text features to answer questions.
What Will We Be Learning: Students will learn about nonfiction text features. They will also be reading a passage called The House to differentiate reading for different purposes. Students will be reading content about the Titanic this week and applying their learning from the nonfiction article to questions.
Assignments to be Completed this week:
- Students have PearDeck slides to work through and complete each day.
- Each day consist of a Sacred Writing entry, Edmentum Practice in Reading/Language Arts in addition to the following daily breakdown
- Monday: Venn Diagram, Nonfiction Features Scavenger Hunt
- Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: Titanic Work on Nonfiction Text Features, Reading Closely, Thinking Critically, House passage
- Friday: Wrapping up the week. Students should be making sure they have all the Sacred Writing, Edmentum Practice, and Pear Deck Slides completed for the week and turned in/shared/submitted with their teacher.
Please make sure students are reading each day for 30 minutes.

What we will be Learning:
We will be continuing our unit on Ancient China. We will be learning about the Geography of China, the 3 major Chinese Philosophies/Religions, the 4 Great Chinese Inventions, and the Silk Road. In class we will work on a Hyperdoc, answering questions over Videos and Reading Passages.
