News from Mrs. Hilcher- Principal of Grapevine Elementary
Week of April 18-22
Windows of the World: Celebration of Diversity
Grapevine Elementary will be celebrating the various cultures we have in our community with a look into the Windows of the World. Participants will setup a booth/table to showcase their heritage by displaying things from their country/culture. The celebration will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 6:30pm in the GES cafeteria. We encourage our kids to embrace their differences and celebrate what makes them unique. This event will allow them to explore those differences in a fun and interactive way. As they visit each country/heritage they will get a stamp on their “Passport to Windows of the World!” We hope you will join in the fun!
Science of Spin Program
On April 27th through May 2nd, the PTA will offer students an opportunity to purchase a yo-yo to continue and enhance their learning experience. The cost will be $7.00 or $11.00 depending on which yo-yo is chosen. For more information on this program, check out their website: https://www.scienceofspin.com/
