Clover Hill Elementary
Weekly Snapshot 10/1-10/5
Happy October!
Dear CHES families,
For the past two weeks, students have been working to create classroom mission statements. Ask your child if they can tell you anything about their class' mission this year.
I'm asking all parents to talk their child about being a leader when no one is watching. Some of your children may have told you that I made an announcement about our girl's bathroom. Over the summer, some student leaders came to CHES to paint and transform one of the girls' restrooms. It was beautiful. They painted it bright colors and we purchased quotes to put on the doors. Some students came and asked me to come look at what had happened. I was shocked...and heartbroken. When I walked in, there were hunks of paint on the floor from where students had peeled off most of the paint and also carved out inappropriate words on the stall doors...right where we planned to hang motivational quotes about being a leader. I've also noticed that there are ALWAYS paper towels on the floor. I'm asking for your help. Please talk with your child about being a leader...ALWAYS...even when they think no one is looking. Just like they would at home, trash should go in trashcans and not on the floor. Encourage your student to stand out and be a LEADER...others will follow!
