Shepaug Summer Reading 2019

Information for Students in Grades 6 - 12

"Hey, Kiddo" by Jarrett Krosoczka!

Hey, Kiddo is our 2019 all-school for students in grades 6 through 12. This is a heartfelt graphic memoir about growing up in a family grappling with addiction and finding ways to survive through art. We hope that our Region 12 families will read and discuss this book together. Author Jarrett Krosozcka will visit Shepaug on September 12. All members of the Region 12 community are welcome to attend!

An Alternative...

Note: Students who are uncomfortable with the content of Hey, Kiddo may read The Principal Strikes Back (Star Wars: Jedi Academy #6), also by Jarrett Krosoczka, as an alternative. This book is on the selection list for grades 6 - 8 linked below.
