WICKED is good.
The Maze Runner By James Dashner
In The Maze Runner there are 6 main characters.
Alby: The Keeper of the Glade.
Newt: Albys second in command.
Minho: The leader of the runners.
Teresa: The only girl in the Glade.
Thomas: The Greenie.
Others:Frypan, Gally, Zart, and Ben.
Note: Everything said in this article is based on the book. Not the movie.
A teenage boy named Thomas awakes in a place called the Glade. A place where a bunch of other teenage boys live like Alby, Newt, and Chuck. Everything in the Glade is divided into different jobs, and everyone is put into a certain job and every job has it's own leader. Or keeper, as the gladers call them. Thomas soon was starting to accept life in the Glade, but then a girl comes for the first time. Now with the walls not closing, a gray sky, and grievers killing one person every night, Thomas and the other gladers have to escape the maze or die trying.
As soon as Thomas arrives everything changes. It starts with someone in the Glade accusing him of everything being his fault, but leads to worse problems, like when Teresa arrives. She comes with a note saying shes that last one to come, and then madness breaks out. The sky turns gray and the sun disappears, and the walls aren't closing, everything is now a race for survival as the remaining gladers (those that weren't killed by the grievers) have to fight for survival as the worst has come.
- “It's kind of hard to ask a dead guy what he did wrong.”
- “WICKED is good”
- “Great, we're bloody inspired”
- “Minho snickered and leaned back in his chair. “Man, you are one butt-load of sunshine, let me tell you.”
- "I didn't do anything wrong. All I know is I saw two people struggling to get inside these walls and they (Minho and Alby) couldn't make it. To ignore that because of some stupid rule seemed selfish, cowardly, and... well, stupid. If you want to throw me in jail for trying to save someone's (Alby) life, then go ahead. Next time I promise I'll point at them and laugh, then go eat some of Frypans dinner. -Thomas”
Overall The Maze Runner is a great book. With 374 pages of action, adventure, and comedy, it's really a book for everyone, with characters whose fates are all somehow intertwined. But what I think is the best part about the maze runner is the maze itself. How overnight it changes and how teenagers record exactly how they are formed. But over all I would rate the maze runner 10/10, no questions asked.
In the last few chapters of The Maze Runner things are pretty intense. Now with the walls open the gladers are completely vulnerable to the grievers. So Thomas hatches a plan. Now that the gladers have the code figured out, they have to enter the code in the griever hole. So all the remaining gladers head into the maze griever free until they reach the hole. Grievers start swarming them from every side. The gladers are fending them off until Alby sacrifices himself the make the grievers go away, but his sacrifice was for nothing. Thomas, Teresa, and Chuck run into the hole and punch in the code, but the computer inside won't let Teresa put in push. And as they soon find out, they had to push the KILL THE MAZE button. Then all the grievers shut down, and a door opens. all of the gladers rush to the door to find a slide that they all go down, Thomas leading. But once they get here they are shocked. All of the creators, as well as Gally, are standing infront of them. Gally explains that they can control him and they make him kill chuck. But all of a sudden the door in the creators lab busts open and all the creators are shot. a group of people emerge and tell Thomas and the other gladers to go with them if they wanted to live. End
