Join our FFO
The Family Faculty Organization's mission is to promote the welfare of children; provide communication between the faculty and families to facilitate academic cooperation; and assist the school in coordinating programs that provide our students with current educational practices. The VVFFO shall conduct fundraising activities consistent with its status as a nonprofit corporation. In addition, we will use volunteer support throughout the school.
If you have a child in our school, you are automatically a member of our FFO.
Your FFO Donations in Action
Did you know that from your FFO donations and participation in fundraisers go directly to our school. Last year the FFO purchased a new sound system for our MPR, paid for all field trips K-5, purchased licenses for RAZ Kids and Accelerated Reader, supported classroom expenses, grant requests and so much, much more!
First FFO Meeting August 24th at 8:15am
Join us in the Kaleidoscope Room to hear about and approve the 2017-18 budget, meet other involved family members, and get involved yourself!
We hope to see you there!
Parking Lot at Pick-Up
Families-Thank you for your patience in the pick up line during dismissal. It will be about two more weeks until more students are approved for bus service. Here are a few ways you can help us out.
- Help us by not arriving before 3pm. We do not dismiss before 3:00. The line will never move before 3:00. On Friday all cars were out of the lot by 3:30pm. We hope to get it down to 15 minutes in the next few weeks.
- Please be sure that you have your family name tag hanging in the rear view mirror. Contact cmacneal@cfsd16.org if you need one.
- Please stay in one line only. Do not park along side the golf course. That is a public street to the small neighborhood behind our school.
- Do not get out of your car for any reason. Teach your child to buckle the seat belt.
- Relax, Breathe, Smile. We are moving as quickly as we can!
Morning Drop Off
The earliest a child can be dropped off at school is 7:40am. That is when the MPR opens up for Morning Exercises with Ms. Lankes and when we have adult supervision. The gates to go to classes will open at 7:53. That gives your children 7 minutes to get to class and be ready when the bell rings. We encourage you to drop off your children in the drop off lane rather than park and walk them to the door, especially if they are in 2-5th grades. Encourage independence and show confidence in your child's ability to be responsible. There are adults to help them as needed.
Hearing and Vision Screenings 8/24
If you have a kindergarten student or your child is new to our school, they will have a hearing and vision screening on August 24th in the morning. If we have any concerns after the screening, you will be contacted to follow up with a physician.
