PTKO Needs Your Help

Our Parent Teachers Kids Organization (PTKO) is off and running this school year. We are looking for new families to join us at our monthly meetings to share your ideas for this school year. Our goal is to continue to impact the positive culture the staff at Park Avenue has created for our children. We want to celebrate our students, staff, and each other by coming together to make learning fun!


Our Next Meeting with be Wednesday, November 30th at 3:30 in the Park Avenue Library.

It Would Be Cool If Board.........

We are working to get input from all students on "cool" stuff they could do this school year at Park Avenue. This week your child will be asked to write on a star in the cafeteria an idea they may have that could be implemented this school year. PTKO parents will type up the list to share with Park Avenue staff as we work together to continue to create engaging learning opportunities for our students.

Adopt a Park Avenue Staff Member

Big picture
Each staff member at Park Avenue has been asked to give a list of items needed for their classroom and some of their favorite treats. These lists will be hung on a Christmas tree at the entrance of the round building with the staff members' name on it. As you visit Park for Thanksgiving Lunch or Literacy Night, please grab a tag and "Adopt a Staff Member".


We ask that you or your child please deliver your gift to the person you adopted the week of December 12th.

Important Dates to Remember:

  • It Would Be Cool If Board- Tuesday, November 8th (Ask your Child what they wrote)
  • Thanksgiving Lunch- Thursday, November 10th
  • Adopt a Teacher- Tags will be available beginning November 10th
  • Book Fair- Opens Week of November 14th
  • Literacy Night- November 15th, 5pm to 7pm (Book Fair will be open)

What's To Come.....

  • December- Winter Wonderland- We are working to create a day filled with rotations for students to participate in as they do a variety of activities. This will take place the week before Winter Break. PTKO will be in charge of ordering supplies for fun crafts, and gifts that students will be creating for school and home.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 4th Grade, APES and our 5th Grade, TIGERS, THEY ARE ALL SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS! We are so proud of you all!
