## Finding someone's age

- Ask the person to multiply the first number of his or her age by 5.
- Tell them to add 3.
- Now tell them to double this figure.
- Finally, have the person add the second number of his or her age to the figure and have them tell you their answer.
- Deduct 6 and you will have their age.

## Reading someone's mind with math

Just follow the steps with a calculator or *by hand for building math skills!* Go ahead and try the trick without cheating!

- Tell the person to chose a number between 1-10.

- Tell them to multiply their number by 2.
- Ask them to multiply the new number by 5.
- Have them divide their current number by their original number.
- Instruct them to subtract 7 from their current number.
- "Guess" the answer! If the prior steps were done correctly, the right answer will always be 3.
- For example, if your friend chooses 3: 3x2=6. 6x5=30. 30/3=10. 10-7=3.
