Project 111
Parents – Project 111 Driving School will be opening in January! If you have a young driver who will need Segment 1 or Segment 2 please keep us in mind. Our driver’s education will be totally unique because we will stay in your teen’s life through high school thanks to our incentive and education program already at work in YOUR TEEN’S high school!!!!
We are calling our ongoing education Segment 3 and Segment 4! We are the driving school that sticks with your teen!!! www.project111drivingschool.com will go live next week!
This month we are actively teaching your teens about WINTER DRIVING! Here are some great tips to chat with your young driver about:
Drive to avoid using your brakes much
- Winter driving requires drivers to be much more aware. Anticipate stops and try to coast to a stop or gently tap your breaks to avoid locking your wheels.
- Plan on starting your braking sooner than you normally would in dry conditions to give yourself extra room, and use more gentle pressure on the brake pedal.
Don't lock your wheels when braking
- Locked wheels can make the vehicle slide or skid. If you have an older vehicle without an antilock braking system (ABS), you may need to gently apply the brakes repeatedly in a pulsing motion to avoid having them lock up the wheels.
- If your vehicle has ABS, simply depress the brake pedal firmly and hold it down. The shuddering sounds and pedal feeling is expected (don't lift off the brake); the system is doing its job.

2021 MHS Adopt-a-Chemic Family

"Dressy Clothes Closet" (Prom & Homecoming Closet)
Parents- Have you spent plenty of time and money helping your child find the perfect outfit for MHS homecoming or prom, only to have those clothes now clutter your closets after only a few uses? If this sounds familiar, please consider donating to the MHS "dressy clothes closet."
We are collecting pants, dress shirts, ties, shoes, homecoming dresses, and prom dresses to offer to Chemics who may need them to attend MHS dances. Donations may be dropped off in the main office or your student may bring them to room 348. Thank you so much for helping all of our Chemics to feel their best at prom and homecoming!
