Scatter Plots
Scatter plots are a set of points that don't connect to form a line.
- Positive association-points form a pattern that increases
- Negative association-points form a patter that decreases
- No association-points don't form a pattern
The trend line is a straight line that comes closest to all the points in the scatter plot.
To choose the trend line:
- Pick the straight line that best fits the data.
- This is the line that is closest to as many points as possible.
