Information will be coming out about parent teacher conferences in February, but please save the dates of, Wednesday, February 5, from 12PM - 3PM and Thursday, February 6, from 6PM - 8PM.

Upcoming School Events & Announcements
Attention students! CS Driving School’s Winter Driver Education Course sign-ups are now going on. Please see Mr. Peppersack in Room 216 or Mr. Rabidou in Room 324 for information and applications. The class is limited so please sign-up as soon as possible. Online Registration is also available at www.csdriving.com.
The History Club will meet in Room 301 on Tuesday, December 17th after school
Are you interested in joining the Keefe Tech Cheerleading Team? Because of last week's bad weather we are inviting all interested students another chance to join the fun next Tuesday, December 17th at 2:30PM in the auditorium. Student Council’s annual food drive is underway! Please bring all donations to your CTE areas. We will be collecting until December 19th!
The Leadership Academy will be selling $1.00 LINKS at all lunches. The Chain of HOPE, CARING and REMEMBRANCE be displayed in the Student Cafeteria. Write on the LINK A MESSAGE FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON FOR SOMEONE YOU WANT TO REMEMBER, CARE FOR OR HOPE. All proceeds will go to support students in the KEEFE TECH COMMUNITY.

Health Careers Seniors participate in their Pinning Ceremony!
This included Jeferson Pineda as the main host, Natalia Rivera leading the Pledge of Allegiance, Amanda Lamberti and Jeferson Pineda reading "What have we done today?", Emilie Avelar sharing "Lessons from a CNA," and Erika Martinez and Fatima Cerin Gonzalez sharing the excerpt "Desiderata." In addition, underclass Health Careers students supported the ceremony with musical accompaniment. A huge shout out to Health Careers Instructors, Ms. Baker, Ms. Graham and Ms. Griffin for their work with these students and organization of this special event.

Students attend Skills USA Leadership conference!
FSLC is designed for Chapter Advisors and Chapter leaders to assist them in building strong SkillsUSA programs at their schools. Participants engage through intensive training focused on the elements of the SkillsUSA Framework of personal, workplace and technical skills, while having opportunities to earn the SkillsUSA Massachusetts Leader Award.
Mr. Flynn and Mr. Allain participated with a wonderful group of potential student leaders from Keefe. The students performed and competed with many other students from Massachusetts CTE vocational schools. Students participated in leadership training, food bank donations. Be like Brit supplies donations and community service projects at the Metrowest YMCA facility in Hopkinton, MA.

School Counseling
Seniors who are planning to apply to 4-year colleges and universities should be working on their college applications, completing necessary essays and making sure they have connected with teachers about recommendations. Students should make an appointment with their School Counselor if they have not done so already. Deadlines come up quick and we want to make sure they everyone is on track.
Spring Dual Enrollment Courses are happening on our campus!
MassBay is going to be offering Principles of Management and Drugs & Society at Keefe Tech via the CDEP Grant for Free to eligible students.
MG 101 PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT
Integrates traditional and behavioral approaches to management. Managerial functions of planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling. Apply decision-making, leadership, communication, coordination, delegation, and authority-responsibility relationships. Appreciation of the technical and conceptual, aspects of organizational thinking. Selected case studies and contemporary examples used to illustrate the application of management principles. 3 Credits
SO 221 DRUGS AND SOCIETY
Examines the history of drugs in American culture. Topics may include the social, economic, legal, medical, and issues concerning drug use and abuse; The causes of drug use and abuse; the impact of drugs on the individual and society; views of youth, medical, and legal experts. 3 Credits
Both classes will be held Monday and Wednesday afternoons 3:15-5:00pm. January 22 – May 15 at Keefe Tech (specific locations will be communicated with registered participants)

The Boosters organization raises money each year to provide scholarships to outstanding seniors in each academic and vocational program. At Senior Awards Night last year, the Boosters gave out over $10,000 in scholarships! Please see the flyer below for more information.
