RES Cancelled Events~
Rancho Elementary~
Open House & Field Trip Cancellations
Dear Roadrunner Families,
In an abundance of caution to prioritize the health and well-being of all our stakeholders and in keeping with the guidance from Federal, State, and County agencies, TVUSD is postponing school and district extracurricular events and activities that:
Involve large numbers of individuals gathering, and, where the health and identity of attendees are unknown, and, that are held within confined spaces where visitors cannot selectively social distance themselves.
As a result, the upcoming events at Rancho Elementary between now and Spring break will be cancelled:
-Open House-scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 is cancelled
-First Grade Field Trip scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 is cancelled
-5th Grade Field Trip scheduled for Friday, March 13 is cancelled
-Science Olympiad Event scheduled for Saturday, March 14th is cancelled
We deeply respect the work that our staff, students, and families have done to plan the activity and apologize for having to cancel. We will do our best to find another opportunity/resource to share the information that was planned and if rescheduling is available, we will pursue that as well.
Friday Flag Events:
In addition to school-wide events and field trips, Rancho Elementary will not be holding any Friday Flag Events between now and Spring Break. On Friday, March 13th announcements will be made over the speaker system but no awards/recognitions will take place. If you plan to be on site for anything you will need to check-in through the office and utilize the Sign-in Raptor System.
As we lead up to the two week spring break, please encourage your students to:
Frequently wash their hands with soap and water
Sneeze or coughing into a tissue or their elbow
Most importantly, keeping your child home when they are sick with flu-like symptoms, including a fever of 100-degrees Fahrenheit or 38-degrees Celsius or higher, shortness of breath, and coughing
Call your school if your child is staying home sick to let them know.
The District will be sharing additional information with all TVUSD families this evening about event postponements/cancellations district-wide that you may have additional questions about. Please wait for that communication before inquiring about other events.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this fast-moving and ever-changing community-wide issue.
Sincerely,
JoeAnna Hernandez, Principal
