Seasons Greetings!
As we enter the last month of the year let’s fill our hearts with love and light! Always remember when your world gets full of busy thoughts and actions that an act of kindness, no matter how small, will transform your worried, hurried mind, It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season! Remember to treat yourself to these acts of kindness as well!
This month. PLA @ Bellingrath will be joining together with the Salvation Army for our annual food drive. Scholars are asked to bring non-perishable food items. A list of recommended items can be found in this newsletter. We will also include some items that they want to help make their season bright. We hope to teach our children about the great feelings that come from being able to give to another person. Mr. Thomas and the FBLA will head up the project. We are so grateful to be included in this worthy cause!
This holiday season we will learn about winter celebrations from around the world, specifically from England, Italy and Mexico. On December 14th, we will have a Family Engagement Event about the winter traditions in these countries. and on December 7th, our music department will host their 1st annual Christmas Concert.
Each history classroom will represent a different country you and your family are invited to attend. We will have food, and a presentation by the children in the class! Be sure to mark your calendars for this warm, family event. We know the holidays are a busy time, but be sure to come and celebrate with us on this special day!
We will be closed for our Winter Break from December 19- January 2nd. We hope that you are able to spend this time surrounded by love and laughter!
