In Case You Missed It:
Counselors are asking that you use the Counselor's Request form for kids that do not need immediate attention. They, too, are doing the best they can, but also have to triage and take care of day-to-day responsibilities. There are some students that do have a behavior plan which utilizes the counselors as a check in and/or check out. This just requires a note with the student. We also have some that have a counselor or admin as a place for a timeout. Please do not send these students without calling. Immediate attention is needed for students that say they want to harm themselves or threaten to harm others. You should call a counselor or the front office to find one or an admin immediately. Do NOT put this in an email, on the counselor request form or leave as a message.
This is a reminder to not allow students to go anywhere in groups/pairs. I always stop and ask where they are going in a group. When someone says he/she is helping the other person, I instruct the helper to go back. If a student needs to use the restroom/go to the front office/etc., that is the ONLY student allowed out of your room until he/she comes back.
Ellen Duncan did a wonderful job organizing the regional ARTalympics at SanLee on Saturday. Thank you to Bonnie Marshall, Anna Whalen, Angie Hegwer, and Josh Hodge for helping at the event.
Our wonderful PTSO Board purchased six door mats with our Stallion logo for our school. This is a fantastic way to beautify and welcome visitors to our school!
