Madison Elementary Newsletter
November 3rd, 2023
Where did October go?? November is always a good time to reflect on things for which to be thankful. I have a few things for you to know about….
Picture Retakes
These are scheduled for November 30th at Madison.
Thanksgiving break
Our last day is November 22nd and we dismiss at 1:55pm. No School on November 23 or 24.
Cold weather
The winter weather is here! Kids need winter coats, hats, mittens/gloves to be warm outside.
Pella Christmas Tree Lighting
Our 2nd and 3rd graders can be a part of the Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Monday, November 20th. Kids will sing three songs as part of the celebration. We will send more information on this opportunity. This is a volunteer opportunity - if it works for your family, great! If it doesn't, that is OK too.
Parking lot
Our parking lot improvements have been working out pretty well. A couple things to mention
The crosswalk is there to make sure you and your kiddos get back and forth to and from your cars safely. If you choose to cross traffic lanes at another spot, you are on your own. We have been blessed with no pedestrian accidents in our parking lot, and I would like it to stay that way. : )
Continue to use the east side entrance to the parking lot. It is tempting to pull in the west entrance because it is closer, but there is a lot of foot traffic in the parking lot in the morning. Entering from the east will provide safer traffic flow.
