MidYear Check Up
How are the children doing half-way home?
Did You say Culver's?
Those MAPS are challenging
What can you say to your child(ren) besides "How was your day?"
1) What's the coolest thing that happened today? the uncoolest?
2) Pretend you are the teacher, How would you describe the day?
3) What made you laugh?
4) What was the most creative thing you did?
5) How were you kind today?
6) How did you make your brain grow today? Did you make it through a struggle?
Study Habits That Work
1) A distraction free spot is the best.
2) Have a routine (like we have in school) for doing work-how to be ready to get to work
3) Set a purpose-what will I get done today?
4) Set a timer-homework/studying for children 7-10 should be no longer than 30 minutes.
5) Try new strategies when a tough spot comes up-use our mindset ideas from our assemblies.
