Modeling Correct Use
In classroom presentations:
Use images, sounds, and videos with creative commons licenses. See the doc below for tips for finding content. Cite the images you use in powerpoints, even if just with a link, to show you value giving attribution to the creator.
In conversation:
Let students know that you BUY your music, TV shows, movies, and such. Refer to services like iTunes, Spotify premium, and Netflix and frown on Bit-Torrents and other free streaming sites. Talk about the importance of paying for media as a way to support artists and their contribution to our world.
