Where possible, the format of the newsletter has the Year 12 specific information toward the end. Information for all students is at the beginning of the newsletter. However, it is advised that students in year 10 and 11 familiarise themselves with scholarship, early offer programs and the likes so that you are aware of the processes and what you can start to do now to give yourself the best possible chance when you are in Year 12.

Laing and Simmons Real Estate Scholarships
For the 22nd consecutive year Laing+Simmons real estate agents are running their scholarship program for Year 11 and 12 students wishing to enter the real estate industry.
Three scholarships will be offered in 2019. The scholarships will comprise of:
· Enrolment in the Real Estate Certificate of Registration Course with course fees paid for by L+S;
· Continued mentoring by a senior Laing+Simmons representative; and
· One of the scholarship winners will be guaranteed a position within the Laing+Simmons group.
Applicants for the scholarships are requested to write in 100 words why they would like to pursue a career in the real estate industry. Thirty-six applicants are then selected to participate in one week’s work experience in their local Laing+Simmons office.
Fifteen applicants will be short listed and interviewed, with three successful candidates being selected for the scholarships.
A highly respected organisation in the real estate market, Laing+Simmons has over 40 offices within Sydney, Taree & Port Macquarie. With many years’ experience in the real estate industry, a scholarship with Laing+Simmons is an opportunity not to be missed.
Not only does this program offer applicants the opportunity to work with and be trained by some of the most professional operators in the real estate market, it also offers the possibility of continued employment with Laing+Simmons, as several outstanding applicants have been employed after the completion of the scholarship program.
Copies of the scholarship application form are attached below, along with a brochure aimed to provide students with details on what they can expect from the program and interviews with previous participants.
Applications for scholarships are now open and will close 31 July 2019.

Defence Force Recruiting Sydney

UCAT - University Clinical Aptitude Test
The UCAT ANZ test has replaced the UMAT (Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test) for 2019.
Students who are planning to apply to Medicine, Dentistry and Health Science courses commencing in 2020 at our Consortium universities in Australia and New Zealand must sit the UCAT ANZ 2019 test in the month of July 2019. Where do students register?
The UCAT ANZ is a 2-hour, computer-based test, multiple choice test. Candidates will sit the test at Pearson VUE test centres located in Australia, New Zealand and some overseas centres. For information about where test centres are offered, see Test Centre Locations on the website.
The UCAT ANZ is offered on a choice of dates throughout the month of July, rather than on one single date.
