The change was that scientists figured out that the earth was not the center of the universe like everyone thought it was by using the teachings from Aristotle and Pltolmey to prove the Sun was the center not the Earth .Other things like Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation and the Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy .Also Galileo Galilei used the telescope to study the sun and discovered four of Jupiter's moons which eventually were named after him.
