SAVIORS OF...a little kids voice?
They didn't just save the Galaxy...
At the age of 3, Sawyer Dunlap could only say a few words, he was diagnosed with a disease called Dyspraxia. This disease was neurological disorder, often affecting speech. At this point, the only words he was saying was "bah", his mother, Natasha, could not a single sound (word) until she was 6. But, when movie night came, they decided to see Guardians of the Galaxy...
"I am Groot"
Sawyer's father, who also has the disease, says "once the character "Groot" was introduced, he acted very fascinated. He started mimicking Groot by the way he would say bah". And so on, he started changing the word bah to Groot. "It is all repetitive, it sticks in our memory until we are able to communicate", says his father, Josh Dunlap. Later, he started using more words, from the help of his teachers and parents, it was going great! The news reached the Director, his response: "I love making movies because of stories like this. Thank you."
