Dear families,
First of all we would like to thank you for all the support we have received in our Recycling unit. It has been quite enlightening and it has managed to ignite in our children the spark of environmental responsibility and care. Our students have become more aware of how our actions impact our surroundings and mostly they are now taking on new behaviors to make the necessary changes that our Earth so desperately needs. The concept of reducing, reusing and recycling is now a part of their daily life and we hope you continue to support it at home. We cannot make any significant changes without everyone’s collaboration.
Our children continued to use their imagination to create their own games and objects made of recycled materials and this gave them the opportunity to engage in some very significant interactions with their peers. There are all sorts of things they have created you wouldn’t even believe! We have also started getting ready for next week's Art Show! Students are motivated and engaged to finish their master pieces and set up their own personal gallery. Hope you are as excited as we are!
Have a great long weekend!

Empathy, Caring, Inquires, Risk Takers. Thinkers, Communicators and more...
This year marks our fourth Annual PK Art Show, and we are very proud to once again be raising funds to grant a very special wish on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The children have been working very hard creating fabulous works of art based on Recycling
All of their amazing art pieces can be purchased for the BARGAIN price of only $10 (that's just $2 a piece!).
Of course you are very welcome to donate more as we all know your children's art is so much more valuable!!
Sold artwork will be sent home the following week.
Make sure to walk around the whole exhibition with your children and appreciate all the art work that is displayed. Our PK area will be set up just like an art gallery. Their art work is so original, unique and amazing; we cannot wait to share it with you!
As your children present their artwork to you, consider asking the following:
What techniques did you use?
What recycled materials did you use?
Talk about the colors and shapes.
· Entrance to our Art Show will be $1.
· Each class will be running a silent auction for a large canvas; a wonderful reminder of your child’s time here in PK.
· Delicious healthy snacks and drinks will be on sale, so make sure to stop by and purchase a yummy treat!
A big thank you in advance for joining us on this day and making it possible to grant a child's special wish. This is our annual community outreach activity, and we are always open to further suggestions.
Thank you for your continued support
