PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Please remember that conferences will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd and can be scheduled between 11-7 PM. We do ask that parents be as punctual as possible so that teachers can stay on schedule. Many teachers have back to back conferences throughout the afternoon and evening. It is a district expectation that teachers talk with all of their parents. If you are unable to attend, please let your child’s teacher know the best way to contact you. Remember there is no school for student on conference day and that Friday will be our last day before our two week fall break!
Students received fundraiser information last week and should have brought it home. All orders were due today, Friday, September 21st. Please remember to write your child’s name on the envelope. We appreciate your support.
Lastly, everyone has a wish list for something. The PR staff would like to know what your wish list is for your child. What do you wish for your kids when they are here at school? Please take a few minutes and write down a few wishes you have for the education your child is receiving here at Pleasant Run. We strive to make PR the best place for students. We would like to thank you in advance for your wishes. Please give these to your child’s teacher during conferences.
As always, I appreciate your support. Please contact me at 532-3803 if you have any further questions.

PTA NEWS
Joining the PTA allows you to meet some great people. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, to build rapport and discuss issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences to make the school year better for everyone.
The mission of the Pleasant Run Elementary PTA is to act in the interest of the children, to encourage understanding and cooperation between parents and teachers, and to promote programs that benefit the success of children’s learning. The Pleasant Run PTA supports education through active participation and advocacy.
Pleasant Run Elementary has a very active and supportive PTA. We sponsor many fun events throughout the school year. We also provide volunteers for many school events as well as provide support for school programs such as Super Reader, Breakfast with Santa and the annual fund raiser. Please join us for a PTA meeting to see what we’re all about.
