#ToroFamily
Welcome to July...almost. I hope you all are doing well, staying safe, wearing your masks, and enjoying time relaxing with family (and maybe some social bubble friends). July is the busiest time of year for weddings and EDMS is no exception to that as our very own Ms. Crosgrove and Ms. Gemma go from Miss to Mrs. this month. We got to mini celebrate them last week and wish them all the best in this new phase of life (even Toby got in on the celebration). In that same vein, we have all been adjusting to this new phase of life and what it means, relearning how to do everything, and thinking about what school will look like in the Fall. Check below for the updates as we are going to start getting our own EDMS teams together to talk/brainstorm/commiserate about next year. Please check below and let us know if you would like to be a part of a team. We hope you all have a great week and a very safe 4th of July.
Updates for the Week...
As the district task forces are in the process of making some recommendations to the board, we would like to begin assembling our own EDMS Teams to dive into preparing for the Fall. As we talked about last month, we are going to be focusing on our 3 areas of Systems, Instruction, and Culture. Some of these areas will overlap and they all will blend together but each will work on some specific elements of our return. If you would like to volunteer to work with one of these teams please complete this short Google Form. (more details are provided on the form) More info from the district can be found here on the district website.
Email Migration
We have officially made the move over from Exchange to Gmail. I think mostly everyone has been able to make the switch easily. If you are having difficulties please let me know. The only issue I know that came up was that on the Single Sign On Page, you needed to change your login from .net to .org. I would be more than happy to do a Gmail tutorial with anyone over Zoom or Google Meet if needed, just let me know.
Staffchat
Over the Summer we will be hosting Staffchat on Thursdays at 10:30am all Summer long. Please click here to join the meeting.
Yearbooks
We have found out that Yearbooks should be getting delivered the second week of July. Once we have them we will schedule a day for distribution. If you are around and able to help let us know.
Please don't hesitate to call, text or email as needed if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you all for everything you are doing.
Stay safe, stay well,
Clausen
Learning Together
Challenge of the Week...
>How can we support students in maintaining physical distancing while on campus?
>How should our bell schedule support maintaining physical distancing?
>What ideas do you have to utilize non-traditional teaching spaces around campus?
>How do we know if kids are with us? (instructional, safety, and SEL)
As you think through these please bring your ideas to our EDMS Team meetings soon to be scheduled or please send your ideas to us via email/text/carrier pigeon/boat/Instagram/etc.
