Weekly Update
Friday No School (Teacher Professional Day)
NEXT WEEK:
Monday September 19th, 1 hour late start. Doors open to students at 8:25am.
I am so excited that so many parents showed up for parent teacher conferences. Education is successful when all three people (teacher, student, parent) are working together to achieve the goal. We are going to continue to see growth as long as we all continue to work together.
Our busy stretch of field trips is fast approaching. You are encouraged to participate in field trip experiences, however, you must be Safe Parish certified. To get more information on this, please visit the website and click "Join Our Team" under the "About Us" tab. https://school.saintlawrence.net/about-us/join-our-team
As you plan ahead, I want to remind you of our 1 hour late start days this year. The first of these days is Monday, September 19th. Doors open to students at 8:25 on the hour late start days.
Urgent!! Curricular Material Assistance Application
This week a form was sent home with your child that needs to be returned. This allows for textbook rental assistance in order for the school to be reimbursed for books and also determine free and reduced lunch status for family assistance. Only one form needs to be returned per household, but please fill out all necessary parts. Please be sure that you return it as soon as possible.

Project Outdoor Nativity Scene
In this secular society, the true meaning of the Christmas season has been diminished or dismissed altogether. Join St. Lawrence Catholic School (as well as parishes and schools around central Indiana) to bring back outdoor nativity scenes! It's our hope that the nativity scenes will serve to brighten up our neighborhoods and remind our children of the importance of the Holy Family in the Christmas season.
The cost is $110.00 per kit. For each sale, $20 will go towards faith formation materials for the parish. The deadline to order is Monday, October 10
Kit distribution will begin the week of Thanksgiving. For more information and an image of what they look like, please click the image below. Payment can be submitted online using the QR code or with a check/cash along with the order form at the school office.
