6th Grade Families
The Charter is an agreement about how students want to feel as part of school life. The Charter names specific behaviors likely to evoke and support those feelings, and includes constructive ways of handling conflict. It is a powerful tool to encourage personal and social responsibility to work together towards creating the kind of emotional climate that everyone wants. When the charter is complete it will be displayed, signed by all 6th graders, and revisited often over time.

Over the past few years, hundreds of middle school and high school students from around the state have participated in this unique, all girls, by-invitation-only event. This event will take place at the Hartford/Windsor Marriott in Windsor, where middle and high school students and teachers from our region will have an opportunity to learn more about the wide variety of educational and career pathways today's advanced manufacturing and engineering offers. The program will include exhibits and demos from Connecticut manufacturers and higher education institutions, hands-on activities, competitions, giveaways, and a very special panel of successful women in the manufacturing industry.
We have registered for the full allotment of 25 spots. If your child is interested, please have her check her email and register on the google form. If we receive more than 25 interested students, we will hold a lottery.
