Uniform Compliance
One of the great things about our school is our uniform. Students don't have to worry about what they wear each day, because the process has been simplified for them. It also creates a calmer, more organized atmosphere in our building and models our promotion of modesty and unity. Though we do have many dress down opportunities throughout the school year, most of our days are traditional uniform days.
However, many of our students continue to wear non-uniform hoodies and jackets to school each day. While it is fine to wear these items TO school, it is not fine to wear them IN school throughout the day.
After spring break, we will hold another "St. Patrick Spirit Wear" order. If your child does not have a St. Patrick hoodie, I highly encourage you to take advantage of this. However, if you don't wish to spend the money on something like that, a simple navy blue or dark green sweater, v-neck sweater, or cardigan can be purchased for an affordable price at Old Navy or Lands End. Or, a long sleeve dark green or white polo shirt can be purchased affordably at these stores as well. Or, if you'd like to purchase the official items with our school logo, you can visit Dennis uniforms as well!
Students will not be allowed to wear outwear that is not uniform approved.
If you need financial assistance purchasing approved outerwear for your child, please email me at kmonaghan@stpatrickkc.com and I will be happy to help!
Foreign Language Pilot Program for Middle School
We would really appreciate it if all Middle School students could have a library card by March 25. He/She will need to bring the library card to school on Monday, March 25th. Once the teacher has the number, the student will be able to return the card home. You could even snap a picture of the library card and email it to the teacher rather than bringing it to school. Whatever is easiest for you!
This gives you time to run by the library over Spring Break! If you have any problems getting your child a library card, just let us know prior to March 25.
