Letter from the Principal
Dear Families,
I hope you are managing during what may be a stressful time. I appreciate your ongoing communication as we navigate this adventure of remote learning and instruction. During the closure, I will be sending a weekly newsletter. My hope is that the letter will provide information regarding student learning, as well as share resources that support you throughout the next few weeks.
By now, you should have had initial contact from your child(ren)’s classroom teacher to set up a schedule for checking in with you and your child. Your child may have even participated in a virtual morning meeting or mini-lesson. I encourage you to reach out to your classroom teacher, the school counselor, or me if you would like additional support such as academic, emotional, or nutritional.
If you would like to have your school age children get food delivery from the district food service during the school closure, please click on this link to sign up Food Service Link. Please know that it may take up to two school days for the delivery of breakfast and lunch to start after signing up. As additional people sign up, the district will need to coordinate delivery with the bus company.
Contact with the school will continue as usual. All calls will be answered during normal school hours. If you need to contact a staff member, you should simply call 588-6371, or email the appropriate person.
We are required to keep track of students who are ill over the next few weeks. If your child is sick, please call the school and report the illness. Please know Pick Up Patrol has been turned off during the closure.
If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please let me know. More information about troubleshooting technology issues will be sent out from the district soon.
Some of your questions or concerns may be addressed on the Remote Learning FAQs page on the district’s website. If you do not find answers to your questions, you can submit your questions directly through a link on this page, or please reach out to me directly.
Be Well,
Stephanie
