This conference is intended to: Bring together local leaders from across New York State into one room; Detail the creative responses to fiscal stress coming out of Upstate New York cities; Provide a space for dialogue among leaders about reasonable next steps in light of new state policies

"Let the Cities Speak" Conference

The conference will be all day (from 8:30am-5:30pm). The conference organizers have opened the event free of charge to 10-15 CRP and CIPA students who show interest, and who will commit to attending. If you would like to attend the conference, please respond to email xf63@cornell.edu by Wednesday, March 18th--with your request to attend full-day, full morning session, or full afternoon session.

Attendees include:

1. Mayors from Upstate cities, including the Mayor of Syracuse, Stephanie Miner

2. County executives

3. School board superintendents

4. Economic development directors

5. Representatives from the Office of the New York State Comptroller, the New York State Association of Counties, the New York Council of Mayors, and the New York Department of State
