Let’s look at Easter!

By: Aadya Posam, 3rd Grade

Easter is celebrated by many people. Why is Easter even called Easter though? Why not Baster? Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Lots of people celebrate Easter. One way they celebrate is by hiding easter eggs and having others find the eggs. The eggs usually contain a bit of money, candy, and toys. Others give out chocolate easter bunnies and eggs. Some people don’t celebrate Easter at all. These are all great ways to celebrate. Which way do you celebrate? Do you celebrate at all? Do you celebrate a different holiday?
