What To Do This Summer!

"Everything good, everything magical, happens between the months of June and August." Remember that feeling? Jenny Han, a former school librarian and author of The Summer I Turned Pretty, captures our kids' anticipation of summer perfectly. This summer is perhaps a little strange, though. With camps and youth programs canceled, we've got some long days ahead of us. What to do?

Experts suggest keeping to a routine, limiting screen time, maximizing outdoor time (where possible), and keeping the learning going. But how to do all that? Below offers you a variety of no-cost tips and ideas for keeping kids happy, productive, learning, and doing.

Good luck!

Doing for others

Volunteering at a young age is a great lesson in community and responsible citizenship. We all feel better about ourselves and our world when we give to others. Here's a simple volunteer idea that works well for kids of all ages during covid.

Yearbook Update

Lifetouch was shut down due to COVID and is currently working with a smaller staff for safety purposes. Unfortunately, we do not have information as to when the yearbook will be delivered. Once it has been delivered, families will be made aware and will be informed of how they will be distributed. We apologize for the delay.

If you are still interested in purchasing a yearbook, there is still 15 -20 left for sale. You can purchase it on Push Coin. Once you have done that, please email the receipt, along with your child's name and homeroom, to Miss Maier at

Art To Remember

Families, if you ordered your child's artwork in March, please be aware there is a delay due to the stay-at-home order in Indiana where Art to Remember is based. When the state lifts the order and the employees can return to work, the company will begin on our products right away. Once they are shipped to the school, we will inform you how to go about picking them up. We are really sorry that the arrival date was pushed back, and we hope to contact you in the next few weeks with good news! Please contact if you have further questions.
