2016 CCRPI Scores Released
We have much to be proud of as a school community! The CCRPI score takes into account a number of different measures including student achievement, student progress, and a gap closure rating where the state measures how well we are are closing the achievement gap between our top and bottom performers. This score is directly correlated to the high levels and learning that are taking place on a daily basis and the effectiveness of our teachers.
We are excited about the gains our students made this year and will continue to provide a rigorous learning environment to support their learning needs.
Thank you for your continued support of Montgomery Elementary School!!!

ORTON-GILLINGHAM TRAINING
This year, the Mustang Fund's Annual Appeal Campaign will allow Montgomery ES to provide Orton-Gillingham training to teachers. The comprehensive training provides participants with an in-depth understanding of IMSE's Orton-Gillingham methodology over the course of 30 hours. Participants will be given the tools to incorporate multi-sensory strategies into an existing literary curriculum.
The IMSE Orton-Gillingham approach allows teachers to easily incorporate the 5 essential components of an effective reading program into their daily lessons: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary development, fluency, and comprehension strategies.
Our goal is to begin training teachers next semester so thank you in advance for your contributions.
Renovations to Brenton Path
The work on the Brenton path has begun. The work should last another 1-2 weeks so please be aware of this as you make your way to Montgomery ES. Below are a few pictures taken to show the progress of the work thus far. We apologize for the inconvenience but thank you in advance for your cooperation.
