We Return
Below you will find some of the expectations that we will maintain as we transition back to four days a week:
- Our school hours will remain the same. First hour will begin at 7:40 am, and school will end at 2:15 pm.
- Students will still report to their 1st period or the cafeteria for breakfast when they arrive to school.
- Please help make sure students have a mask, ID badge, water bottle and a charged chromebook daily.
- Social distancing of 6 feet between students in the classroom and at lunch will not be possible upon full return, but masks will be required as well as temperature checks in 1st period. Additionally, students will be required to sanitize or wash their hands when entering classrooms.
- We will not be assigning lockers so students can carry their things in a binder or backpack.

COVID Q & A
What does it mean for my student to be quarantined?
Quarantine is used to keep someone who has been exposed to COVID-19 away from others. Quarantine helps prevent spread of disease that can occur before a person knows they are sick or if they are infected with the virus without feeling symptoms. People in quarantine should stay home, separate themselves from others, monitor their health, and follow directions from their state or local health department.
When is a quarantine required?
All “close contacts” to the positive individual must quarantine. Close contact is defined as being within 6ft for more than 15 minutes throughout the entire day OR direct physical touch.
If your student is required to quarantine due to close contact at school, a school administrator will notify the family with a phone call.
On the occasion of a late night positive report, requiring multiple close contact quarantines, we may resort to an email/text, followed in the morning by a phone call.
Please leave a message with Mrs. Self (726-6003) if this occurs over days when we are not in school.
My student is being required to quarantine, what does that mean for the rest of my family?
A person is only required to quarantine if they had “close contact” with an individual who tested positive. The quarantine period is to see if symptoms develop to help fight the spread of the virus. The rest of the family is not required to quarantine unless the person in quarantine tests positive.
If someone in our family tests positive for Covid-19, should we notify the school?
Yes! Please call Mrs. Self at 726-6003 to let him know. He will discuss the dates of exposure and details of the quarantine period.
If your child has had close contact with any individual who tests positive for Covid-19 or if your child him or herself tests positive, please notify the school as soon as you know.
Adding your child's status as positive is important so we will have a more accurate picture of our school's rate of student infection, as will the State Health Department.
