Concession Stand Sign-up
It is that time again! Our Band will have the great privilege of running the Concession Stand on Friday, August 25th. We need a lot of volunteers. There will be three different shifts.
- 5:15-7:00 we need people to grill all the meats for the sandwiches, make the pizzas, popcorn, and get drinks ready.
- 6:45-8:30 we will need people to help customers and to restock items as needed.
- 8:30-10:30 we need people to help customers and clean up after we close.
Extra Extra!!!
We need some extra help on Spirit Night. Specifically, adults are needed to help "water" the band during the game. Here's what is needed - 2 people willing to fill/ice water and 3-4 people to help water the band. If you can help, text Taryn Wallace at @ 314-315-6847 for more info.

Rehearsal Information
When classes begin this upcoming week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday rehearsals will begin promptly after school. Each student should come to school with everything they need for rehearsal, including a container of water, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, hat, dot page, chips, and sheet music, wearing comfortable clothes and athletic shoes they can also wear for practice. Students may have a brief moment to change their shirt following the final bell before rehearsal begins. Each student must bring their own container of water as water will no longer be provided during practices. Items for rehearsal may be put in their hall locker or band locker before school.
Parents: Please be considerate and pick up your students or arrange to have them picked up by 5:30 after school or 8:45 on Wednesday nights. The students will have some equipment to put away but should be able to leave within that 15 minute time frame. This is the end of rehearsal. There is no need to wait for a text. Please be prompt in taking your students home. Mr. Barnes or Mrs. Kinworthy will not leave a student alone at school, but it is inconsiderate to expect them to stay at school long after rehearsal has ended.
Absences
All absences from rehearsal should be reported using the link below. Notification for missing rehearsal should be given at least 24 hours in advance. Absences for reasons other than illness or family emergencies must be minimal.
Competitions
With regards to competitions, we rarely know any information about any performances more than 1 week prior to the performance date. Please give Mr. Barnes and Mrs. Kinworthy time to prepare schedules :)

Updates from the Band Boosters
Again, a bit of rain during practice, but “hail” no! The Spirit of ‘76 will not be impeded by weather. Neither rain, snow, nor solar eclipse!
Even inside, there’s great work underway to prepare for the upcoming season. Props are being readied. Uniforms fitted and parts ordered. Sound systems assembled. Pep tunes echoing in the halls. Guard working.
Thanks to all boosters who are putting in time for the band!
