Welcome Back to School!
School is the new cool!
Getting back into the swing of things!
We hope you all had an amazing summer filled with fun, sunshine, and family! 4th grade is the most fun of them all. We have a ton of great field experiences planned. Our curriculum is all centered on our great state of Utah. We have added in a Makerspace where students can innovate and invent on Fridays. This year is stuffed full with interesting information and experiences.
Parent/Teacher Communication
This year Mr. Baggaley and Mrs. Jenkins are using the app Remind to communicate more effectively with you. Follow these links to sign up for the texting service. Don't worry, it's all free!

Some things to think about...
Personal Narrative Assignment
We have started writing personal narratives this week. We would love for you to help your child put a picture that represents your child's personal narrative in our dropbox folder (click the link to get to the folder).
Volunteer Signups Online
The 4th grade team has decided to digitize signup sheets by using signup.com! We are starting weekly stations Tuesdays and Wednesdays that we would love parent helpers for. If you're interested, please sign up here. We also need a few chaperones for our October field experience to the American West Heritage Center. Click here to sign up to help!
40 Book Challenge
Reading is so important! This year each 4th grade student has been issued the challenge to read 40 books on his/her reading level. To achieve this goal, some reading will need to be done at home. That is the only homework that I assign each day. Students should be reading at least 20 minutes a night. Read more about it here.
This is going to be the best year yet!!
Headphones for Chromebooks
If you would like to send headphones to school for your child to use, that would be awesome! The headphones here at school aren't the most comfortable. Students are welcome to bring their favorite headphones that fit them the best.
Snacks!
If you would like to donate snacks to your child's class, it would be very gratefully received!
