The CISD Police Department would like to invite you to help make a child’s dream come true. We are collecting NEW unwrapped gifts for boys and girls of all ages to be wrapped and given to families who might not otherwise have a wonderful holiday without your assistance. Please send all gifts to David Elementary by Friday, December 6th. A bin is located in the main hallway next to the front office. If you have any questions, please contact the front office at 281-298-4700.
SPRING FEST T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST
Again this year, we will give our student population a chance to have their artwork as our official design on a t-shirt for the spring fundraiser. All entries are due to the front office by Friday, December 13th. Please see the flyer below for more specific instructions. The winner will have their design professionally copied on the computer by the screen printers’ artist. The winner will also receive a free Spring Fest t-shirt for his/herself, the teacher and the immediate family!
There will also be a semi-finalist winner from each grade level. Each semi-finalist will win 25 Spring Fest raffle/game tickets. If you have any questions, please contact Jessica DeVerse at djess214@gmail.com.

FOURTH GRADE PROGRAM - "THE POLAR EXPRESS"
ZONING INFORMATION OVERVIEW AND COMMUNITY MEETINGS
Conroe ISD will begin the process of reviewing attendance boundaries in The Woodlands and TW College Park feeder zones in order to relieve crowding at Ride Elementary. An Attendance Boundary Committee (ABC) has been established and will soon begin the process of developing zoning scenarios for the elementary schools for the primary objective of reducing the crowding at Ride. The committee is composed of parents and principals of elementary and intermediate schools serving the Woodlands and College Park feeder patterns along with CISD administrators. It is important to the District to obtain the input of the parents and community on these various zoning scenarios. Therefore, the District is providing multiple opportunities for anyone interested to attend the Zoning Information Overview and Community meetings. Each meeting is offered three times for convenience. Much of the information to be presented at the Zoning Information Overview will be available on CISD’s website at https://conroeisd.net/. Please click on the button below for more information, dates and times of the meetings.
EARLY RELEASE DAY - THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19TH
Thursday, December 19th, will be an early release day for all CISD students. The school day will begin at 8:05 a.m. and end at 12:10 p.m. Normal bus routes will run beginning at 12:10 p.m. If possible, students are encouraged to bring a sack lunch that day due to time constraints. However, a full menu will be available for purchase. Lunch times will be as follows:
K 10:55 -- 1st 11:00 -- 2nd 11:05
3rd 11:10 -- 4th 11:15
We request that parents not join their child for lunch on this day because all students will be eating in their classrooms.
LOST AND FOUND
Due to limited space, we donate all unclaimed lost and found items every couple of months. Our first donation day will be Friday, December 6, 2019. Please be sure all clothing items, water bottles and lunch kits are marked with your child’s name. Students and parents are encouraged to stop by to look for any missing items during lunch or before and after school.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
The online system for Box Tops will now allow you to scan your receipt and give credit to your child's class. You must, however, list your child's teacher along with the grade level. Please do not list your child's name on the app, just the teacher and grade level. Don't forget from now until December 31st, you can get double points by turning in the Box Tops and scanning your receipt to the Box Tops app.
Our winter Box Tops collection for the 2019-2020 year is underway. Participation is easy. Simply clip the Box Tops from participating products, place them in a Ziploc bag or envelope (labeled with your child’s teacher’s name and grade), and have your student drop them in the collection bin located near the front office. Please mark your calendar for our winter submission deadline, Friday, February 14, 2020.
If you have any questions, please contact Carly Jones or Jennifer Whitney at DavidPTOvendor@gmail.com. We will list the top two classes per grade level in the newsletter each week. Please note that the following numbers include both clipped Box Tops and on-line scans. Standings as of Friday, November 22nd, are:
