First Kids … Where God’s Kids Come First!
Oh my ... where did January go?
Our year is flying by!
February’s bible verse is: Love one another (John 13:34). Our color of the month is PINK and our number of the month is 6. Of course, the shape we are learning is the HEART! This month we will also talk about friendship and sharing.
We will celebrate Valentine's Day with a class party Feb. 11, so be on the lookout for more information to come home about our party. We will be making Valentine's projects in class and will be learning the song "My Valentine."
We're excited to welcome two new friends to our classrooms! Garrett joined Mrs. Michelle's class this week. And two weeks ago Finley joined Mrs. Joanna's class. Please say hello to these cuties and welcome them and their parent's ... as they are new to First Kids!
Please bring fruit (bananas or oranges), cheese or a bag of pretzels for snack, if you are able!
Your kiddos really appreciate different snacks each week. They are learning so much from eating new things AND eating with each other, including table manners and praying. Ask them to say the prayer tonight at dinner. They are REALLY good at it now!
Please bring your February tuition of $130 or $165 this week (unless you’ve already paid).
Our color of the month is PINK. Please dress your First Kid in as much pink as possible the last week of school. This can be shirts, shorts, bows and even hats! Be creative when helping your First Kid wear our color of the month.
Don’t forget to bring a jacket and hat to school – the weather changes so much from day to day! And please remember, that we follow Sealy ISD's weather decisions. Please check their website for info regarding any school opening/delay/ closing. In the meantime, stay warm and be safe!!!
No cooties allowed! :)
Please remember First Kid’s Illness policy:
For the welfare of all children, any child who is sick needs to be kept at home. If your child runs a fever, they should be fever-free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school. If your child has been vomiting during the night or early morning, he should not come to school.
Your child should not attend school if he/she:
- has a fever of 100 degrees or over.
- has diarrhea or more than two loose stools during the day.
- has symptoms of a communicable disease.
- has a sore throat or constant cough.
- has a thick, discolored nasal mucus.
- has pinkeye.
- has any contagious skin condition.
- is vomiting.
- is unable to participate in the program.
If a child is not well enough to remain at school, a parent or someone listed on the release form will be contacted. Please make arrangements in case of an emergency. Please notify the school if your child has a contagious illness so we can notify other parents.
