Principal's Message
Greetings from the Principal's Office!
It has been a great week at JGKA. Our students are hard at work, learning and growing each and every day!
While our building is filled with so much joy, sadly there's a lot of concern about school safety in our community. Please know we take safety very seriously. Our Little Giants have practiced safety drills, and have done a wonderful job listening and taking direction from their teachers. Our teachers have worked with Perry Police to be trained on how to proactively handle emergency situations. We also have a secured entry into our building.
Currently, our main door is unlocked and opens into a secure vestibule. Visitors are buzzed into our building. Beginning Monday, we will operate with our main exterior door locked at all times. All visitors will need to be buzzed into the building. We feel like this extra layer of access will keep our building even safer for our students and staff.
As always, take care, and enjoy your weekend with your children. They are growing up so fast!
Love,
Mrs. Hansell
