Sept 2022 National News
Stride National Photography Competition is Open!
Any eligible student in grades K–12 nationwide can share their art with professional photographer judges for a chance to win great prizes. Creativity has no limits, so this year there is no theme. We want to see what your student can create with their full imagination and skill set.
Stride Competitions spotlight student talent and creativity on a national stage. Participating students can meet peers with similar interests from across the country, connect with professional judges, and win great prizes. Plus, these competitions aren't just for students enrolled in Stride K12-powered schools—all eligible school-aged students across the U.S. can enter.
Check out the full contest rules and guidelines, and have your student submit their photo by 5 PM (ET) on Friday, October 7, 2022.
We can't wait to see what your student submits!

Stride Serves: National Day of Service
September 11 is designated by Congress as a National Day of Service and Remembrance.
This day provides a great opportunity for us to recognize and thank veterans, active duty service men and women, and first responders in our communities.
How You Can Get Involved:
- Write and send a letter to a first responder, veteran, deployed troop, or new recruit to express your thanks for their service.
- Letters can be sent to the following organizations (or to someone you know!):
- Place a small flag in your yard in remembrance of 9/11.
- What other ideas can you think of to honor the Day of Service?
Be sure to share photos of your activities on your school's Facebook page with the hashtag #StrideServes!
