Superintendent's Corner
October 2023 NRESC Updates from Dr. Vancheri
Happy October!
October is done and now we are on to November and December! The first round of observations have begun and pre-assessments have been administered. The names of students are beginning to finally stick. Learning is taking place. And now we are officially situated in the 2023-2024 school year!
I am very proud to announce that I was recently approved to serve another five (5) years as the Commission's Superintendent. I am honored and humbled to continue in this position and I cannot thank all of you enough for your hard work and dedication!
Be sure to check the website, social media, and your NRESC email daily.
- Information will be coming out in November regarding the purchase of updated NRESC attire.
- Everyone should have received a communications survey last week. This survey is the first step before focus groups will be created (and will meet during the last week of November). Our goal is to find out how we can communicate better with all stakeholders.
- Attention Staff: be on the lookout for information regarding a holiday party! It is our goal to have three (3) events per year moving forward: a holiday party in December, an end-of-year event in June, and an in-person convocation in September.
Onward!!!

NJSBA Workshop 2023
The NRESC hosted a networking reception on October 24 in Atlantic City, as a part of the annual NJSBA Conference. Administrators attended informative sessions from October 23-26 and, in addition, we were able to network with current and future partner districts. The NRESC staff in attendance were able to network with approximately 100 people throughout the night and we are already making progress on future contracts!

Halloween at Central Office!
Our central office was very festive on Halloween! You can always count on Transportation to dress up. In fact, they are already planning next year's costume theme! Kudos to Ayanna Thorne and Sondra Baker for getting into the spirit. And, I took pride in dressing up as a Hulkamaniac this year, although I am saving the full, muscle suit for trick-or-treating!
