Need to Know Announcements
- On Jan 31st, all 6th graders have a BMI screening and 6th grade girls have a Scoliosis screening. These screeners are requirements in Arkansas. If you do not want your child to participate please email our Nurse, Laura Harkins. (lboseman@sdale.org)
- Pleae refrain from sending balloons or flowers to students on Valentine's day. It is very difficult to manage as students switch classes and balloons are not allowed on busses.

7th grade Cheer & Dance Info session
If your student intends to tryout for our spirit squads, there is a mandatory meeting this Wednesday. Coach Smith will have two sessions (4:45 & 5:15). If you have any questions, please contact Coach Smith. (ksmith5@sdale.org)

Hellstern Basketball Tailgate
Tailgate ticket includes food & entry to Hellstern basketball game to be held on 02/08/24 at Har-Ber High Gym. All students must be picked up by 6:00pm at Hellstern Middle School in the 7th grade car rider line. If a student wants to stay for the Junior High game, a parent must be present at 5:45pm at HBHS to check out the student. Please put your student's 1st block teacher in the comment section when purchasing a ticket.
7th grade - Track Season Starting Soon
- Anyone that plans to run track for Hellstern needs to register for the "2024 Hellstern Track" Google Classroom using code 4dudtfs.
- Practices will begin 2/19 at the Har-Ber track after school (specific times to be announced soon).
- All athletes must have a current physical and paperwork filled out and submitted to Dragonfly before they can practice/compete.
- If your athlete already has a Dragonfly account, simply add "7th grade track" to their list of sports in your Dragonfly account.
- If they are new to Dragonfly, a flyer with directions on how you can help them set up a Dragonfly account can be found in the "2024 Hellstern Track" Google Classroom.
Girls on the Run - please note - changed to meet one day a week
